Marko Jakšet to the gallery Salsaverde in Izola.
Marko Jakše was born in 1959 in Ljubljana. In 1987, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana under the mentorship of Professor Metka Krašovec. He shook the Slovenian art scene with shocking metaphors that shook the Krska mentality, which was rooted in Slovenian mythology.
According to his own words, Marko Jakše completed the ALU in Ljubljana in 1987 as a self-taught student. Since then he lives as a freelance artist. He exhibited at many solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, and received several domestic and international recognitions and awards for his work.
Marko Jakše is one of those artists who could be placed in as many different artistic periods as possible.
