The Chinese car company Great Wall Motors has presented the cheapest electric car in the world, and with this they want to make a real small revolution in the world of electrified cars. Their in-house electric brand ORA is synonymous with an open, reliable and alternative means of transport.
ORA R1 presents a completely new electric car that enables up to 351 kilometers a long way, and it is driven by an electric motor with power 35 kilowatts. And all this is available from approx 7.650 and 9,950 euros. So there is no doubt that it is definitely about the cheapest production car in the world.
ORA is electric 'sub-brand' Chinese company Great Wall Motors and will cover a larger number of cars that will be based on a similar electric platforms. So called ME platform is intended for electric cars, and covers electric motor, battery assembly, steering electronics and integration functioning of all three interconnected systems. The platform enables easy and long-term construction, it requires 16% less space and 12% smaller weight.
ORA wants with a model R1 provide high value, plenty of space, smart technology, safety and high quality. R1 measures 3,495 X 1,660 X 1,560 mm and offers more space thanks to the clever arrangement of components. It provides security with more than 60% solid steel in the composition of its chassis. The design is simple, easy, unique and you could even say yes 'cute', because we simply cannot overlook it striking headlights. The ORA R1 boasts a system with use artificial intelligence, with which we can 'woke up' car using the phrase "Hello, ORA". Friday different colors will enrich the possibilities of individualization. The R1 will be followed by others, but if the R1 ever becomes available in Europe, it will be at this moment not yet known.
