Damir Globočnik (born 1964) is a doctor of art historical sciences, museum councilor and art critic. He published the following books: 12 angry men (1998), The miracles of Vodice (1999), The image of the poet (2000), The Theimer Affair (2001), Portreti/Porträts/Ritratti – Slovenian painters in Austria and Italy (2002/2003, together with Tihomir Pinter, author of photographic portraits), Presheren and fine art (2006), Cultural and historical studies (2009) and Pavliha 1870 / Levstik's satirical sheet (2010). He is engaged in the organization of exhibitions and their art-critical monitoring. He is a member of the Slovenian Society of Art Critics and the Society of Art Critics - Slovenian Section of AICA. He became more familiar with the work of local photographers in the Cabinet of Slovenian Photography at the Gorenj Museum, which he oversees as curator of art history.
