Patty Diphusa, Confessions of a porn diva is a cabaret show that was first performed on the stage of the City Theater of Ljubljana more than six years ago, but despite its long history, it still fills theater halls and delights the audience every time.
The content is based on the short stories of the Spanish director and writer Pedro Almodovar and his stories about the porn diva Patty Diphus, "the most interesting resident of Madrid and the woman who never sleeps".
On its way, the play picked up a few awards, traveled the length and breadth of Slovenia, visited a few foreign theater stages, and here and there brought home an award.
In the spirit of German cabarets from the 1930s and directed by Ivana Djilas, it brings a superb musical and vocal ensemble (Boštjan Gombač, Sergej Randjelović and Žiga Golob), provocative content and a cabaret-circus aesthetic, as well as stories from the edge of urban life that boldly glorify everything that is human: love, violence, romance, longing and sex.
