Paul Timmer, a Dutch designer, carved the wheel from ash wood (without the addition of veneer or plywood), a wood renowned for its aesthetic qualities and strength. But that doesn't mean that riding with such a frame is hard. Quite the opposite. The wooden structure intercepts more vibrations on the way to the body, even more than carbon fibers. Nevertheless, the bike is durable, which is especially appropriate for a cyclocross bike.
Paul Timmer made extremely comfortable and perfectly manageable wooden cyclocross bike without gears ("single speed"), which weighs only 11 kilograms. As mentioned, the frame is made of ash wood, a material that dampens vibrations better than any other. But the bike stands out not only because of its wooden construction, but also because front fork, which does not pass through the frame, as is customary, but is attached to a special bearing and runs along it. Everything is then completed only at the height of the handlebars.

If wood provides comfort in terms of vibrations, and for peace of mind and less need to worry about maintenance the toothed belt, which is quite a lot quieter from the chain, causing less vibration and also less torque loss.
