March 21, World Poetry Day, is approaching, and we will once again have the opportunity to pay for coffee or tea with verse in more than 60 cafes across Slovenia. The Pay with Verse 2017 initiative will also have a charitable note. In Julius Meinl Slovenia, they have prepared the campaign #VerzZaVerz, with which all participating poets will help to expand the range of books in the library for blind and partially sighted children and adolescents of the IRIS Center.
An initiative Pay with verse roasted coffee Julius Meinl has awakened established and casual poets around the world. On that day, the verse will become the currency for tea and coffee in 37 countries and 1,400 cafes worldwide. It will also be in Slovenia in more than 60 cafes maybe get it for a verse a cup of tea or coffee. One of the main reasons for the Pay with Verse campaign is to show people that poetry has the power to change the way we see the world. You can find a list of participating cafes here.
The central event of this year's initiative will take place in Slovenia traveling caravan Pay by verse, as part of which coffee or tea for verses will be served right Boštjan Gorenc – Pajamas, Luka Korenčič or Andrej Težak - Tešky. In Slovenia, the Pay with Verse initiative will also have a charitable note.
