The mass poetry initiative Pay with verse 2020 is moving online due to the new coronavirus epidemic. It will take place in the form of a poetry competition on the social networks Instagram and Facebook, and the selected verses will be published in a unique collection of instapoetry by various authors.
Saturday, March 21, 2020, there is supposed to be an action on World Poetry Day Pay with verse held in more than 40 countries and over 1,000 cafes worldwide. In cooperation with the organization Worldreader, Julius Meinl directs the collected verses this year in the fight against illiteracy in coffee exporting countries, such as Ethiopia, Kenya and India. But due to measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the global action will be severely curtailed.
In Slovenia, with the complete shutdown of public life, the organizers decided to move the poetry initiative to social networks and to start #instapoetry competition extend and expand. In the competition for the first collection of instapoetry, you can up to and including March 21 All adult users of the Instagram and Facebook networks participate, namely with public publication of the author's verse on a personal profile, to which they add a clavicle #placajzversom and #tentecaj. The best poems will be presented in a special poetry collection, and ten selected authors will also receive a prize financial reward.
