At the beginning of the year, the new Peugeot 508 was presented to us, but now the time has come for its larger, station wagon version. In principle, both are quite similar, at least as far as striking exterior design and extremely attractive interiors are concerned.
Peugeot 508 SW it has an extended roof compared to the sedan, which creates additional space in the rear. This increased the space inside, and above all usefulness. At Peugeot, they packed it all into a tempting package that is absolutely nothing does not lose its appeal, when compared to a sedan. The front part is the same for both, but it changes side profile and, of course butt. The rear lights have the same design as the sedan.
Inside, the Peugeot 508 SW has the i-Cockipt, which we already know well from this brand. This means that in the newcomer you will find a smaller steering wheel and 12.3 inch screen, which is placed above the steering wheel, in the driver's field of vision. Over 10-inch the navigation, climate control, radio and all other settings are managed via the touch screen. There is Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Peugeot Mirrorlink and also 3D navigation system.
The engine range will be the same as for the sedan. It will be available 1.6 liter gasoline engine with 180 respectively 225 horsepower. It will only be available with 8-speed automatic transmission. Three diesel engines will be available, with a volume of 1,5 to 2 liters. They will have 130, 160 or 180 horsepower. He is expected to join them in the second half of 2019 plug-in hybrid. The Peugeot 508 SW will be available from in January 2019 further.
