Peugeot offered buyers on this side of the Alps a renovated flagship in the form of the 508 business sedan, which, just like before the renovation, is also available in a station wagon version. It can be recognized by the new nose of the vehicle, which is concentrated around the new LED lights that have replaced xenon ones. Prices start at just under 23 and end at 45 thousand.

So she had a very difficult task to please so business users, as well as D-segment buyers, where there is no room for mistakes due to extremely fierce competition. In four years, the 508 managed to convince quite a number of customers and grab around 5 percent of the market share, but now Peugeot thought it was time to return to the path of its old glory, for which the model was specifically rejuvenated.
The design is now even closer to the 308
The beautification cure is best known on the nose of the vehicle, where differently designed lamps "reign", where the role of xenon has been taken over by LED technology in the central lights, so that in better equipped versions the lamps illuminate the road only in advanced full LED technology. In all of them, only you are adorned with daytime lights and fog lights, xenon like that not anymore in the equipment list. Accordingly, the designers also changed appearance of the engine mask, where he also made a pilgrimage brand logo, more sporty elegance is also brought by the modified bumper, which now has more chrome accessories. From the side, there are much fewer changes and they are also much more difficult to notice, on the rear and the limousine boasts the same more modern appearance of LED lights, while these remained unchanged for the station wagon version (this also applies to the "off-road" RXH). Connoisseurs of the predecessor will also notice the slightly changed rear bumper and version inscriptions (at least for the SW).
All equipment packages more generous with equipment
Despite the contrary belief, surprisingly, or at least imperceptibly to the eye, the interior remained untouched, where there are no visible changes in the spaciousness and materials used. The changes are, as they say, hidden from the eyes and in the form of advanced technology, which may have been missing a little before. This is how they present the novelty more advanced pressure system in tires and system for detection of the vehicle in the blind spot. In the second of the five equipment packages, it occupies a central role on the center console touch screen, better known as SMEG. At third level this equipment get more ability to navigate, which also brings with it slightly changed switches below it. In addition to this, the importer will offer navigation to Slovenian buyers free of charge from the second package onwards, and all packages will gain in terms of equipment compared to their predecessor.
Basically, the buyer gets LED daytime running lights, automatic climate control, cruise control, tire pressure sensor, but it is true that this also entails higher price, but only for 200 euros. The higher we climb the equipment package ladder, the more the equipment mark-up is, and the same applies to the price mark-up, which for the GT and RXH versions it is almost a thousand. In the case of the latter, the buyer of the 508 will be richer for the previously mentioned full LED lights, blind spot sensor and navigation. New and represents an additional one sport equipment package, which appeals to the driver's emotions and he tries to conjure up a more responsive gas pedal and a more direct steering wheel and red lighting.
Those more picky will notice something more storage areas, even if they are equipped with a meter, they will not measure more visible differences in the trunk, which in its basic configuration still accommodates 473 liters in the case of a sedan and 518 liters in the case of a caravan SW.
More engines than before the renovation, slightly higher prices
The engines are currently available: two gasoline and four diesel units, powers from 88 to 150 kW, later we can expect še one petrol engine and two diesel engines. The gearbox is basically šest step manual, and in certain versions it is also possible to select robotic gearbox and classic automatic transmission, which has also undergone a treatment of improvements and is now quieter, faster and, most importantly, more economical. It also received (motor) innovations an off-road inspired version of the RXH, which, in addition to the diesel hybrid version hybrid4, is now richer for diesel version HDi 180, which also drives only the front pair of wheels.
They are appreciated on the petrol side pthey are priced at 22,615 euros, and for the diesel at 23,626 euros, The SW version is good euro thousands more expensive. The importer, however, offers buyers even more favorable and more equipped versions, in the framework of which it also offers a discount of up to 16 percent.
