For more than fifty years, photographer Charles H. Traub has captured the most expressive moments around him in his lens. But the most inspiring photos are certainly those from the 80s of the last century, when he traveled to Italy for the first time and witnessed the famous street life, which the Italians call "la dolce vita".
V 80s of the last century it is Traub visited different parts of Italy, spent two to three weeks there at the same time and documented interesting lifestyle, which he named la dolce vita (sweet life). Freedom, leisure and diversity marked that time, but today we can witness them mostly only in photographs. According to the photographer today street culture in Italy is almost gone, and the reason for this is the problems related to the global economy. The entire series of photographs, a 'time capsule' of Italy, is available in the book Dolce Vita: Italy In the 1980's.
