Piran/Pirano is a film about the intertwining of three unusual life destinies. The Italian Antonio, the Bosnian Veljko and the Slovenian Anica entered the war as children and were all, each in their own way, its victims. Half a century later, their short journey together in the last days of the war, full of fear, despair, love and many other unfathomable emotions, comes to life again when Antonio returns to Piran before his death to see his birthplace once more. But reminiscing helps them to understand that this house, in which the Italian spent his childhood and was expelled from, and in which the former partisan found his second home, actually no longer belongs to either of them: it is just a house their memories.
