You know there are places with depressing names? It seems like more and more bizarre profiles are being created on Instagram. Amidst all this frenzy, we are sometimes surprised by something as ingeniously funny and original as Sad Topographies. The author of @sadtopographies profile finds the most depressing geographical names on Google Maps and shares them with the world.
Australian Damien Rudd, author of an Instagram profile that shares places with depressing names @sadtopographies, the description of the page poetically rounded off: "Where to go when you're down." He says he is in Australia, USA and Canada many places, rivers, mountains and islands with morbid names, which were named during early colonization. The early explorers and settlers were apparently convinced that they were writing dark history.

There comes a day when each of us feels like we are walking on a "dead end" or instead of going to a "suicide lake" we want to go to a "lonely island". Sad Topographies it is on Google Maps also explored "mad women's bay", "dead dog island" and "hopeless pass".
