Rhinos will take over Cankar's home. On March 20 and 21, 2016, the Romanian National Theater of Marin Sorescu from Craiova will host the Gallus Hall stage. The American Robert Wilson was invited to participate in directing Rhinoceros Eugèn Ionesco, a French writer of Romanian origin.
A rhinoceros is a play by Eugène Ionesco. In imagination directed by Robert Wilson but it was created somewhere between surrealism, magical realism and absurdity enigmatic drama Rhinoceros, in which imagination leaps over the barriers of reality and pushes the boundaries of logic and classical perception of the world. Theater magic opens views into other dimensions, when humans gradually turn into rhinos and reality gives way to the unreal. What Ionesco attempts with words, Wilson shows with images. It shows us the world as we have never seen it before, nor imagined it in our dreams.

In the realistic portrayal of the drama, he is assisted by excellent Romanian actors of all generations, who are perfectly at home in Wilson's fantasy world. Play and expressive faces inspired by the rich tradition of European avant-garde theater and silent film from Gordon Craig to Charlie Chaplin.
The play, which was created in on the twentieth anniversary of Ionesco's death, takes you along the path of the historical avant-garde theaters of the 20th century and confirms the imagination of the great director Robert Wilson.
