March is traditionally reserved for the Pokljuka Marathon. The Pokljuka Marathon 2017, the 27th in a row, will take place on March 4. Recreational cross-country skiers will be able to compete in a half-marathon and a 10.5-kilometer cross-country skiing challenge.

Male and female runners will be able to compete in a half-marathon (21 kilometers) and a 10.5-kilometer test. There is a group start for all categories at 10 o'clock at the Triglav Pokljuka Sports Center stadium – Ore field. The race will take place in free technique, and a ski slope for classic techniques will also be arranged.
