There are a number of different accessories for quality playback of your favorite music. The PonoPlayer portable player promises to play music as close as possible to the original recorded quality. It does not rely on expensive equipment to meet the needs of audiophiles. In the size of standard mp3 players, it enables a real concert experience wherever you are.
A word "pono" is a Hawaiian word meaning fair, honest, true, reliable. And that's what the Pono player is supposed to be in relation to music. PonoPlayer is shaped like Toblerone with dimensions 5x2x1 centimeter. It has a color touch-sensitive screen and three power and control buttons. It is available with 64GB of space, but also has an additional slot that accepts SD cards up to 64GB. In total, you can fit up to a thousand albums, depending on the length and quality, and upload them via the USB port. You can also download music via PonoMusic services – a music library similar to iTunes, but only in high quality.
More about digital filters and DACs (digital-to-analog converter) chip, or how exactly Pono works, you can read on the official website ponomusic.com.
The project was supported through the Kickstarter platform.
