The first performance of Illusions is coming to the City Theater of Ljubljana (MGL), during which we will get all the answers to the following questions. What is true love? How do you know if you've experienced it? When to think about her, if not in moments when you know for sure that death has knocked on your door? And what is the most important thing to say to a loved one in the moments when you are leaving them forever?
Russian playwright Ivan Viripayeva you were able to meet in the City Theater of Ljubljana in 2011 at staging of the drama Kisik. This time he will be with us in his latest work Illusions presented two closely related married couples in the autumn of life. The author interestingly and astonishingly complicates their mutual relations and offers the audience a shocking "an intriguing dramatic story about love, loyalty and (self)deception".

The play deals with serious topics that all the characters are obsessed with, but is nevertheless written in a communicative, suggestive and genuinely witty way. Why not, when Ivan Viripajev is a master of modern dramatic writing. In Illusions, he intertwines dramatic structure with poetic reflection, fast and flexible dialogues with lyrical confessions, and staged reality with many powerful parallel worlds. The staging of the play is certainly a great challenge that promises an exciting theatrical experience.
