The film is a witty and excellently acted comedy about the clash of two egos and the opening film of the Francophone Film Festival, which will take place from March 10 to 26 in Kinodvor and Slovenska kinoteka.
Serge Tanneur, once a respected actor, lives a secluded life on the island of Île de Ré along the Atlantic coast. Three years ago, he turned his back on the world of culture, disillusioned with the human world hypocrisy and false morality. His peace is disturbed by the arrival by Gauthier Valence, an old friend who has meanwhile become the star of a popular television series. Gauthier, who would like to regain his reputation as an actor, tries to convince Serge to act with him in a production Moliere's The Hater. Although Serge swears he will never return onto the stage boards, the invitation nevertheless tempts him. He suggests to Gauthier that they start working immediately, and after five days he will decide whether to accept the role or not... He interrupts their lively and stormy rehearsals here and there hotel maid, who would like to play in porn movies, and attractive Italian divorcee, who thinks all actors are narcissists.
