At Prodriv, they know how to make a winning sports car, and now they have transferred this knowledge to the two-wheeled area. With years of accumulated experience, they managed to create the lightest folding bike in the world, which, among other things, also folds the fastest in the world.
A new bike Penetrating they named Hummingbird or hummingbird in Slovenian. The bike weighs only 6.9 kilograms and it can be folded into everything five seconds. This is said to be the lightest folding bike weight and fastest folding bike time in the world. It has such a low weight because of its use carbon fiber, from which the Hummingbird framework is made. The material used is four times stronger than steel, but weighs only a quarter of the weight compared to steel. The pedals are made of light aluminum, and each of them is made long 24 hours. Prodrive every Hummingbird makes custom, and the price starts at 3,700 euros. There is also a version with four gears, which raises the starting price to a little more than 4,000 euros.
Customers can choose between in four different vivid colors, for additional 415 euros however, they can have an unpainted frame so that the carbon fibers are clearly visible. Next year they will install another one electric motor, which will slightly increase the weight, but we are sure that even with the electric motor and battery it will still be the same the lightest folding bike in the world.
