Project Valkyrie: From Master's Thesis to the World's Largest Yacht

Project Valkyrie

In our editorial office, we are already used to luxury yachts and when we think that nothing can surprise us anymore, this is exactly what happens. Project Valkyrie is a stunning mega yacht that simply makes us swoon.

It all started with the creation of a master's thesis and ended as a project the largest yachts in the world. At the moment, of course, only on paper, but we cannot know if they will ever actually do it. Under Project Valkyrie the designer signed off Chulhun Park, and he was supported by Palmer Johnsons Yachts. The length of the yacht is incredible 229 meters and has enough space for 52 guests and 92 crew members.

The Project Valkyrie yacht is not just meant as a toy for millionaires, as it offers a lot of capacity for the wider masses like them casino, theater, shopping center, restaurants and exhibition spaces. The vessel is based on a trimaran conceived by Palmer Johnson Yachts and the rest of the yacht is designed in a 'wedding cake' layout which provides a more hydrodynamic, canoe-like hull shape. The yacht can reach speed 25 knots, and its production should cost around 800 million US dollars.
