One more reason to love science: researchers from the Universities of Oxford and Coventry have recently published a study that says playing more games in bed can actually make you smarter.
V research was involved 73 people between the ages of 50 and 83. A good half of the respondents (37) said they had sex weekly, 26 said they had sex once a month, and 10 said they never had sex.
Those who have sex most often have achieved the best results on the cognitive ability test, and they are also better in the well-known children's game 'name, surname, city' (if you don't know yet: it's a game where the players have to say the name, surname, city, animal, plant to a certain letter in one minute). They are supposed to be, among other things even better in visual tests, and in tests for memory, language and attention there was no major difference.

Scientists aren't exactly sure why more sex is associated with better verbal and visual skills, but there's a theory that it might have something to do with hormones, such as dopamine and oxytocin, which are released into the brain during sexual intercourse. Perhaps the fact that sex is often associated with a more active lifestyle generally relating to better brain function.
Although this is a small study and nothing can be said with certainty, it does us no harm to strive for a higher intellect. 🙂
