You've probably heard of Kickstarter. The crowdfunding platform, which is dedicated to the development of new products, got its smaller brother – Quickstarter.
Quickstarter works the same way as Kickstarter. The difference between them lies in the size of the projects. The new platform was created for ideas that do not require large amounts of money and time for their implementation.
Kickstarter got the idea to add Quickstarter to its site from a London designer To Oscar Lhermitt. People will have from now on greater freedom in experimenting with innovations, as a failed project will not cost them much. Success on the Quickstarter will be possible even without hiring a photographer, dealing with public relations and devoting yourself to a demanding production process.
According to Lhermitt, you shouldn't look at Quickstarter as a get-rich-quick opportunity. The essence of the new platform is modesty and fun. To focus on new ideas, he made a list of rules that are wise to follow:
- The development process should take no more than 3 months.
- The fundraising campaign should last no more than 20 days.
- The monetary goal should be below 1000 euros.
- The price of the main product should be below 50 euros.
- The promotional video should be shot in one day using the camera you have available.
- Do not pay attention to public relations.
- Do not use paid advertising on social networks.
- Don't set yourself too ambitious goals.
- Include the word “Quickstarter” in your campaign name.
Already have an idea in mind that would do well on the Quickstarter? Don't delay - you can present it to the public here.
