OK Computer ages well. In a special edition commemorating the first release back in 1997, all songs are newly mastered. The album was a breakthrough for the English alternative rockers and according to many critics it did more than that. Some consider it one of the best albums of all time. At the time, the band said that the album was not conceptual, but the lyrics constantly touched on consumerism, the disintegration of society, nihilism and political stagnation.
Fans of the band will be in the new edition found the original 12 songs, 3 not yet released and 8 b-side songs, which will be released on 180 gram vinyl records. As a sweet treat, the package will also include a hardcover book containing lyrics, CD designs, 'scribbles' by Thom Yorke, the band's leader, and many other interesting tidbits. Of course, it will be possible to buy all the songs in digital format as well.
Fans, take note July 23 to the calendar, then OK Computer 20th Anniversary can be yours!
