The German progressive industrialists Rammstein, who are known for elaborate concert spectacles with plenty of pyrotechnics, will visit the Austrian capital this June and thus once again serve up a spectacular show.
Rammstein were formed in 1994 and are one of the few groups that still play in the original lineup - Till Lindemann (lead vocals), Richard Z. Kruspe (guitar and background vocals), Paul H. Landers (guitar, background vocals), Oliver “Ollie” Riedel (bass guitar), Christoph “Doom” Schneider (drums and electronic percussion) and Christian “Flake” Lorenz (keyboards). They asserted their own harsh industrial rock in the spirit of the musical tradition of groups that pioneered this kind of dark music, such as Laibach and Test Department.
Their career is full of many controversial, hit videos and spectacular concerts. They always take care of phenomenal scenography and they change costumes several times during performances. The performances also got them into trouble many times, and they were many times detained for misconduct, they were associated with several violent events, they were shown in videos cannibalism and nudism. Rammstein don't bother with that, because they actually do dedicated to communication, music and excellent performing arts. "Those who don't understand really don't want to understand," frontman Till Lindemann said in an interview.
