With the help of rapidly developing technology and 3D printers, United Nude joined forces with 3D Systems and for Milan Design Week 2015 they "reinvented" the shoe. With a select group of world-leading architects and designers such as Ben van Berkel, Fernando Romero, Michael Young, Ross Lovegrove and Zaha Hadid, they designed and printed five exclusive shoes.
The selected group of shoes in the Re-Inventing Shoes project (in collaboration with United Nude and 3D Systems), embodies comprehensive research in wearability, functionality, aesthetics and technology and with the highest quality of 3D printing - selective laser sintering - are shoes made of hard nylon and soft rubber available in fifty pairs for each exclusive model of a newly "invented" shoe. They are currently on display in Teatro Arsenale at Milan Design Week 2015.
