If you, too, were among those who, every Monday, when a new part of the cult series True Detective came out, searched for songs that could not ignite the atmosphere more, now you have come across a bag full of musical gold.
Atmosphere A real detective, series, whose first season recently ended, was uniquely interwoven with great music chosen by none other than the Academy Award-winning producer and musician T Bone Burnett. Some of the tracks are haunting, others more bluesy, others both. "I have a long history of film detectives behind me - almost as long as I have with rock'n'roll", he said Mother Jones Burnett said. "I have always been interested in crime and true crime. If you listen to my records, like Criminal Under My Own Hat, you can feel it. I love it Chandler and Hammett. I love detective movies”.
Among the compositions, for the selection of which Burnett drew inspiration from the very depth of the movie character, they are also found Bring It To Jerome by Bo Didley and Lungs by Townes Van Zandt, and how well it goes in the ear Far From Any Road, the band's song The Handsome Family, which for many of us every week in the opening credits raised all the stakes.
