Banana pancakes with maple and peanut spread
Ingredients
- Ingredients for pancakes:
- 4 large bananas
- 1 cup flour, preferably whole wheat
- milk
- an egg
- oil of choice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract Ingredients for maple and peanut spread:
- 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
- 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
- powdered sugar for decoration
Directions
- First, cut the bananas in half lengthwise, then cut them into slices (you should get about 10 slices from each banana).
- Mix egg, milk and pancake flour in a bowl. Add cinnamon and vanilla extract.
- Add bananas and mix again.
- Grease the pan generously with oil and cook each pancake on medium heat for about 2 minutes on each side. Place on a plate.
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and maple syrup. Blend until the mixture is smooth.
- Heat the mixture in the microwave for about 10 seconds, then spread the mixture over the pancakes and decorate with sugar if desired. Bon Appetit!
