Fortune cookies are probably well known to you, if not elsewhere, you've probably already seen them in some movie or series. You probably have in mind the moment when they break it and read a message that has a prophetic value in pop culture. This time we have prepared a recipe for homemade fortune cookies with which you can surprise your guests.
It's waiting for you here recipe for fortune cookies (fortune cookies), namely precisely for 10 cookies. The preparation is not demanding, but you are expected to have quick fingers, when the cookie needs to be folded.
Fortune Cookie Ingredients (fortune cookies):
- 2 larger egg whites
- half a teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 60 g of all-purpose flour
- 100 g of sugar
- pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons of water
Making Fortune Cookies (fortune cookies):
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Mix the egg whites and vanilla extract for a few minutes until they become foamy. Pass the flour, sugar and salt through a fine sieve. Gently mix into the dough with a spatula. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, to make a smooth batter.
Place 1 tablespoon of dough on a silicone baking mat placed in a metal baking pan and make a circle (7 cm). Repeat one more time (there should only be 2 cookies on the base). Bake for 8 minutes until the edges of the cookies are golden brown.
Using a spatula, quickly remove the cookies from the pan, add a message in the middle, fold the cookie in half and press the flat part against the edge of the glass to bend the cookie. Place the folded cookie in a small muffin tin to hold its shape. Repeat the same with the remaining dough. Have a good run!
