Recipe: homemade cream ice cream from a bag

What will your ice cream maker be if you have a bag? Well, a "zip" bag, to be exact. Here is a recipe for delicious homemade ice cream from a bag.

Ingredients for ice cream from a bag:

  • ½ cup whipping cream
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • flavors: chocolate, strawberry or crushed cookies
  • ice
  • 6 tablespoons of rock salt
  • additional flavor to taste
  • one large ziplock freezer bag
  • one small ziplock freezer bag

Preparation of ice cream from a bag:

In a small bag, mix the milk, sugar, whipping cream and flavor as desired. If you want vanilla ice cream, add vanilla flavoring. Squeeze out as much air as possible from the bag and then seal it tightly. Fill a large bag halfway with ice and add salt. Stir to distribute the salt evenly. Now place the smaller bag inside the larger bag and seal it tightly. Shake the bag continuously for 10 to 15 minutes. Use a kitchen towel or gloves to protect yourself from the cold. Remove the smaller bag, wipe it and open it. Scoop the ice cream with an ice cream scoop. Have a good run!
