A refreshing icy dessert made from watermelon is ideal for summer because it naturally hydrates, as it contains a lot of water. It helps cool the body and provides antioxidants that protect the skin from sun damage. It is low-calorie, refreshing and satisfies the craving sweet without added of sugars.
Watermelon ice dessert
Ingredients
- Ingredients for the cupcakes:
- 1 kg of watermelon, cleaned and cut into cubes
- 2 spoons of honey
- juice of one lime
Directions
- Peel the watermelon, remove the seeds and cut into small cubes. The amount of watermelon can be adjusted depending on how much dessert you want to make.
- Add the sliced watermelon, honey and freshly squeezed lime juice to the blender. Honey is great for adding natural sweetness, while lime juice adds a nice acidity and freshness.
- Blend the mixture well until smooth. Pour it into a freezer tray or ice cube trays.
- Place in the freezer and let set for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
- When the dessert is hard, take it out of the freezer and let it soften a little for a few minutes. Then scoop it into balls with the help of an ice cream scoop. 6. Serve immediately and garnish the dessert with additional mint leaves.
