Redheads have superpowers in their genes, says science

Stereotypes about blondes, redheads, jokes about freckles, short stature and the like are pretty worn out, aren't they? After all, these are properties over which we have absolutely no influence. What can we inherit from our parents, eh? Diseases, intelligence, eye and hair color and on and on. Genes define us to a large extent. Let us let you in on an interesting secret about this.

People with red or orange have always somehow 'stuck out'. Probably because they do there aren't many of us (only 2 percent of the world's population).

Z they are born with red hair and freckles because of the MC₁R gene, which controls melanin. There are various myths about them, but science has found something really interesting. They should feel less physical pain than the rest. To exaggerate a bit, they are redheads true supermen.

The author of the book The Big Redhead Book: Inside the Secret Society of Red Hair, Erin La Rosa, which is also a redhead, states the results research, which was carried out 14 years ago at McGill University. Red-haired women are supposed to be tolerated pain by 25 percent better than other women.

Red-haired people are supposed to be also needed less vitamin D, as they can produce more of it themselves. Vitamin D protects us against diabetes and arthritis. But they are not covered with flowers everywhere, because on large temperature differences respond much worse than the others.

Who would have thought that the color of the hair pulls all these things behind it.
