Saudi Arabia is the first country in the world to grant citizenship to a robot named Sophia. This was presented at the Future Investment Initiative event, a platform for discussing current and long-term global investment trends. Sophia is capable of different facial expressions and can recognize other faces, look people in the eye and speak completely naturally.
Sophia were created at Hanson Robotics, but she appeared in public for the first time in March 2016, namely as speaker at the UN and as guest on Jimmy Fallon. It also has its own website. Now she admitted it Saudi Arabia, which she gave to her citizenship. "I am very honored and proud of this unique success. It is a historic event that you are the first robot in the world to be recognized with citizenship.”
At the event Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh, Sophia showed off hers shrewdness, when asked about the dangers of artificial intelligence.
