The tenth jubilee performance of the Hokus Pokus science festival will once again offer creative workshops from scientific institutions, societies and institutes. In addition to the standard program for elementary school students, this time there will also be an accompanying program open to the general public. The visual artist Urša Vidic with the installation Crystal Sea and the association Rampa with the Vzornice project are coming to visit. It will take place from March 15 to 17, 2017. Among other things, you will find out how much you would weigh on the Moon, Mercury and Jupiter.
A pioneer home, the center for youth culture, the spring festival opens with science festival Hokus Pokus 2017, which will be interesting for the tenth jubilee performance also for older visitors, not just primary school children.
The theme of this year's festival will be atmosphere. You will be able to meet at the workshops components of the atmosphere in a different form, determined the properties of air and made a barometer and models of air molecules, learned how plants use them wind power for its existence and observed through experiments and determined whether the air around us is changing.
By reacting to stimuli in the environment, children will make brooches without touching, learn how important wood is in our lives and embark on nautical waters, where they will learn what they need to build a good and stable sailboat. With a game Catch a fish they will get to know the marine world, and through experiments they will check what a vacuum can do and why airplanes and helicopters can fly through the air. They will recreate the Earth in a glass ball, and at the same time with the help of the organizers illustrated by the Sun and finding out how important light is to our existence. It will also be on display mini petroleum laboratory.

Already one week after the Hokus Pokus 2017 science festival, it will take place in Pionirski dom children's and youth film festival ZOOM (March 23-25, 2017).
