It is generally accepted that the sexual energy between partners fades away after a while. We cannot deny that. That's why it's important for couples who are in a long-term relationship to somehow keep the spark alive. The latest study, for which researchers have been collecting data since 2006, reveals what really matters to keep a relationship (positively) hot. The research focused on more than 38 thousand heterosexual men and womenwho were in a relationship at least three years. More than 80 percent of participants reported being satisfied with their sex life the first six months of the relationship, 55 percent women and 43 percent men stated that they satisfied with their sex life even today, after three years of relationship.

So what is the secret of those who are still happy? Courtesy relationship is obviously a complex thing, but here they are Key things to keep the spark alive, which the authors of the study managed to elicit from the participants.
Scientifically proven tricks for a long, hot relationship:
1. Make sure you are both satisfied.
Not surprisingly, participants who are satisfied with their sex lives today also experienced orgasm in the past month (98 percent of men and 78 percent of women). Crucially, their partners also experienced orgasm.
2. Don't rush.
Both men and women who are satisfied with their bedroom life reported that their sex life lasts a little longer – at least half an hour. This was true for only half of the satisfied participants (compared to about a quarter of the dissatisfied people), so it's not exactly the rule, but it's a very common choice.
3. A little "sugariness" doesn't hurt.
Never underestimate the power of your emotions, even when things get physical. Most men and women who participated in the study reported that they had the same (or greater) level of emotional closeness now as they did in the first six months of their relationship. Satisfied participants said “I love you” more often and laughed off awkward moments during sex, among other things.
