Movie projectors in movie theaters may soon have an (un)expected competitor. Samsung is planning a massive screen that would replace the screen.
They have graced movie theaters for as long as we can remember canvas, onto which the projectors projected the image. Are these days now numbered? Samsung is preparing cinema screen. Samsung Cinema Screen is LED screen resolution 4096x2160 (4K) pixels made especially for cinema.

10.36-meter screen brings 10 times more brightness from cinema projectors. It's the first one HDR LED-screen for halls. If cinema operators want to keep up with picture quality in the comfort of their homes, they will have to do something. Time will tell whether this means screens will replace canvases.
