With the Seat Ateca model, which was named after the Spanish town of the same name, Seat has added its sizzle to the fast-growing segment of SUVs. Compact SUVs are currently considered to be the hottest cars, and their sales are expected to grow by as much as 25 percent this year. It stands on the flexible MQB platform, which it shares with some Volkswagen models, and bets on its own design, dynamics, general utility and adaptability to city driving. It will go on sale in autumn 2016.
Seat it is SUV Seat Ateca announced last year with the concept 20V20, with which it shares quite a few similarities. The newly minted Seat has a press conference dry presented in Barcelona, and it will be shown to ordinary mortals for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Seat's debut SUV measures 4.36 meters in length and 1.6 meters in height and boasts with a 510-liter trunk. The version with four-wheel drive has a few liters less (485). In addition to the two drives, there are also two gearboxes (manual and dual-clutch DSG), palette supercharged engines but somehow it is more colorful. Two models will be available at gas stations TSI 1.0 (85 kW) and TSI 1.4 (110 kW) with a consumption of 5.3 to 6.2 liters per 100 km, and among diesels TDI 1.6 (85 kW) and TDI 2.0 (110 and 140 kW) with consumption between 4.3 and 5 liters per 100 km.

Inside, leaning on Seat Leon, the infotainment system will await us with an 8-inch screen, and from the technical treats it is worth mentioning traffic jam assistant, which will operate the vehicle by itself at low speeds, and only assist at medium speeds, i.e. up to 60 km/h, radar cruise control, a system for blind spots, cameras that will broadcast a bird's-eye view of the car, and so on emergency helper, which will stop the car by itself within the traffic lane, if the driver does not respond to sound and light warnings. It will also recognize traffic signs and should be available for the surrounding area 20 thousand euros.
