Shakespeare's Macbeth is a spectacle of passion that brings about the realization of radical evil and can be interpreted as an examination of the anatomy of the darkest crimes. It will have its premiere at SNG Drama Ljubljana on April 23 this year.
Shakespeare's Macbeth (1606) is one of those plays that intervene in the man's deepest darkness and expose the motives of the most cruel acts. It is a spectacle of passion that supports the realization of radical evil and can be interpreted as an examination of the anatomy of the darkest crimes. Evil in Macbeth is terrifying but strangely attractive, it permeates the whole world, from the intimate between title characters and his "innocent" spouse to affairs of state as well events in nature.

This time's performance will be characterized by a look through the intimate; with the setting of the action in the privacy of the living room or kitchen and with a concentrate of protagonists it presents Macbeth with all its cruelties and paradoxes vivisection of today's relationships and the spectacle of evil through the smallest social cell.
