In the Stone Age, hunting was an important source of food, but as people settled permanently in some areas, its economic importance began to decline. Hunting became a pastime, a way of spending free time. In the 19th century, the first hunting societies were also formed in Slovenia. The Green Brotherhood has accepted another important task - animal protection. In the September showcase, we will present some documents on the operation of hunting societies, old hunting manuals and periodicals from the collection of the library of the National Museum of Slovenia.
