Five in one
Skiers will be able to sharpen or acquire their skills on as many as 145 easy trails with a total length of 280 kilometers, 181 trails of medium difficulty (483 kilometers) and around 30 difficult slopes with 97 kilometers. But since winters bring us less and less natural snow, they are the planners of the tourism future Ski Amadé in the last few years invested a lot of money, mainly in the development of the possibility of artificial snowmaking in harmony with nature. This was also the case last season, which was particularly skimpy with snow. With the help of 4,000 snowmaking devices, it is possible to achieve as many as 111 snow days on 78 percent of the ski resorts, which amounts to as many as 670 kilometers of pistes. Those who swear by natural white intoxication can take a breather, as some of the cable cars take them up to an altitude of 2,700 meters, where there is no shortage of natural snow. The charm of a skiing vacation is not only meandering down the white slopes, but also surrendering to the sun's rays on the terrace of the mountain hut, warm grog and a strong snack that strengthen us after tiring activity. As many as 200 ski lodges and restaurants provide relaxation and happy socializing with friends along the slopes, where most visitors gather in the evening hours and dance to the rhythms of "winter" hits. Hot season opening in the region Salzburger Sportwelt will officially open the ski season between December 6 and 9. In the village Wagrain, known as the birthplace of the popular Christmas carol Sveta noč, will open the season with a bonfire and mystical fire festival. Flachau, known for its nightlife, will open the winter events on the same weekend with the Start Up 08 event, where musical fever will be ensured by the performances of musical groups and the presence of Bavarian radio, which will ensure an unforgettable entry into winter with its program. The opening in will be literally hot Zauchensee: free testing of ski boot warmers, charming cavaliers in original costumes who will bring your skis or board from the car and back. Friendly "watchmen on the tracks" and top events ensure a unique experience.

Something for everyone
Ski Amadé is well aware of the fact that not everyone is only interested in skiing, which is why they offer winter joys in a wide variety of forms. Between March 29 and April 5, 2008, the ladies will reign on and along the slopes of Ski Amadé. Namely, during the mentioned week, the selected lodgings will offer female skiers, in addition to the six-day ski pass, two additional "sweets": ski testing day and ski guiding day. After the skiing, they will be delighted with fashion shows, night hikes with torches and, of course, parties in mountain huts. Special offers will also be enjoyed by parents who do not pay a ski pass for the third and every subsequent child, and this year's Easter gift to families will be free skiing for all children up to 15 years of age, from March 15 until the end of the ski season. A little older people, who work hard at school during the week, can spend 35 percent less stress and excess energy at the end of the week than the normal price of a ski pass.

In the ways of champions
Flachau is the home of the Herminator Hermann Maier and his brother, a surfing star Alex Maier. The latter gathers his top form in the surf park Flachauwinkl – at 1.5 kilometers, it is one of the largest terrain parks in Europe and the heart of the snowboarding scene in the Salzburger Sportwelt region. The latest acquisitions in Flachauwinkel are the 6-seater Absolute Shuttle with Wild West style weatherboards and two stories Chill House with a mini "ramp" for skaters, a video screen and a covered relaxation area. This season, as much as 67.4 million euros will be invested in the comfort of the Ski Amadé area, and we have listed only some of the acquisitions. At Ski Amadé, they emphasize the high quality of service and because they want to constantly improve it, for example, they will offer ladies an escort of friendly gentlemen who will help them bring their equipment to the ski resort.

Under the wing of a giant
Ski region Hochkönig Winterreich lies at the foot of the nearly 3,000-meter-high Hochkönig (2,941 m) in the federal state of Salzburg. In hardly any other region can visitors experience such mysticism and the charm of snow in an idyllic landscape, which is complemented by 150 km of ski slopes - a paradise for skiers, snowboarders and ski tourers. Those who are enthusiastic about cross-country skiing will be in the place Maria Alm found 30 kilometers of prepared tracks connected to the cross-country trail network to the Saalachthaler. Over the saddle Filzensattel (1290 m) a panoramic road leads to a dreamy mountain village Dienten at an altitude of 1071 meters.
