The 18th Škis market will unite young people from all over Slovenia on May 7, 2015, on the grassy green of the Kardel platform behind Bežigrad. The ŠKIS Association will once again add a charitable note to the varied musical and cultural events this year, as it will allocate part of the funds collected from the entrance fees to the project "Botrstvo v Slovenia".
Škis' market, the largest outdoor cultural and entertainment event for young people in Slovenia, will open its doors to visitors May 7 at 12 noon. The event, which is based on the promotion of Slovenian culture and cuisine among young people, will take place again this year with a touch of charity.
Through numerous events and content, the ŠKIS association encourages solidarity among young people and raises awareness of the importance of caring for one's fellow man. As part of the Škis market, special attention will be paid to the Godfathership in Slovenia project and part of the funds collected from the entrance fees will be allocated to the godfather fund.
By supporting the project, the ŠKIS Association wants to remind visitors - especially young people - that the possibility of education and engaging in extracurricular activities, school meals and good social conditions are not taken for granted. Many young people are deprived of a healthy and quality life, free time, equal conditions for development and, last but not least, socializing with their peers. Through the Sponsorship project, everyone can contribute at least a little for children and young people who are in financial need and need financial help and encouragement.
