Iceland's new dream location, Sky Lagoon, will be home to Kárnes Harbour, just a few minutes away from bustling Reykjavik. It will have a view of the ocean, complemented by sunsets, northern lights and starry skies.
Company Pursuit has revealed plans to expand Iceland's traveler experience, showcasing a premium geothermal lagoon Sky Lagoon, which takes inspiration from the cinematic landscape of Iceland and thus creates an oasis in the middle of the city. It also influenced the design elements Icelandic culture, which is evident in the surroundings of the lagoon, which is inspired by Icelandic grass houses, and in rituals in the spa, which also have roots in the Icelandic tradition.
“Relaxing in natural geothermal waters is an integral part of our culture here in Iceland,” says Dagny Petursdottir, manager of Sky Lagoona. "In addition to the cold pool and sauna, the multi-sensory oasis Sky Lagoon will also feature an endless edge overlooking the ocean. Additional benefits will include a lagoon bar, dining and a unique retail offering.”
Iceland is one of those authentic and exceptional destinations, which excite and inspire. And the new geothermal lagoon opening in spring 2021 is no exception!
