Slalom House – residential complex with its own ski slope

Slalom House residential complex

In Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, an interesting facility is planned. The residential complex "Slalom House" boasts its own ski slope! Yes, you read that right. And from the top of the building, it will be possible to ski on the curved track all year round, but the 300-meter track will not be covered with snow, but artificial snow will be laid on it, this is Snowflex, a material made of synthetic materials, which is laid like a carpet and behaves like natural snow.

Apartment complex Slalom House with its own ski slope is a 70 million dollar project that will allow residents from the top of the building to the ground floor skiing all year round. Although Astana is one of the coldest places in the world (winters last from November to April), they cannot count on natural snow and its maintenance all the time, so they will "employ" the snow of the 21st century. Snowflex, an imitation of snow that is resistant to temperature effects.
