Philips presents a special innovation: the Smart TV application, which turns the TV from a medium for watching shows and movies into much more. Thanks to the Smart TV package, which already includes the Net TV application, this year's Philips TVs become media portals through which it is possible to connect to websites, tablets, laptops and smartphones. So it is possible to play music, view photos, play movies, save software, talk via Skype and even control the TV. The Philips Smart TV app consists of four main functions - SimplyShare, Control, Net TV and Program. The Smart TV application is already available on all this year's Philips 7000, 8000, 9000 series TVs.
