So far, this year's winter has not been very kind to us with a real snowy idyll. While in some northern and extreme western parts of the world they are freezing at unbearably low temperatures, in most of Europe we are experiencing a minor spring awakening.
But it wasn't always like that. Black-and-white photographs from 1919 bring the nostalgia of life in the French capital, imbued with snowy romance and winter playfulness.
