School holidays 2024/2025: When are the school holidays this school year?

The beginning of the school year is a special time, full of expectations and challenges. Students return to school with energy and curiosity, ready for new knowledge and friendships. Parents and teachers recognize the importance of this period, as it is an opportunity to instill in children a love of learning and responsibility. Although the first days can be full of trepidation, with the support of family members, children quickly adapt and settle into the rhythm of school. The beginning of the school year should be a positive experience that will influence the students' motivation. They will overcome all challenges with good will and effort.

School holidays 2024 / 2025

The following is a list where you can find the 2024/2025 school holidays.

• AUTUMN HOLIDAY / POTATO HOLIDAY: 28. 10.-1. 11.
• NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS: 25.12.-2. 1.
  Attention parents, Friday, January 3rd is also a day off for classes, in accordance with the second paragraph of Article 7 of the school calendar rulebook, which stipulates that the Minister of Education can designate any day of the year as a day off.
• WINTER HOLIDAYS 2025: 17.2.–21. 2.
  For students from the south-eastern part of Slovenia (except municipalities: Ribnica, Sodražica, Loški Potok, Kočevje, Osilnica and Kostel, Carinthia, Podravka, Pomurska, Savinja and Posavina statistical regions
• WINTER HOLIDAYS 2025: 24.2.–28. 2.
  For students from the regions of Gorenjska, Goriška, Notranjska-Kraska, Obalno-Kraska, Osrednjeslovenska and Zasava statistical regions and the municipalities of southeastern Slovenia: Ribnica, Sodražica, Loški potok, Kočevje, Osilnica and Kostel.
• MAY DAY HOLIDAYS 2025: 27.4.–2. 5.
• SUMMER HOLIDAYS 2025: June 26–31 8.
