SPAR Austria, the main sponsor of the FIS 2025 Alpine Skiing World Championships in Saalbach, has combined its love of sport and cuisine this year in the traveling tour "SPAR Natur*pur Imperial Roast". This sweet spectacle began in Salzburg in October, traveled through numerous Austrian towns and, on Friday, January 17, delighted Slovenian visitors for the first time at the Interspar Citypark in Ljubljana.
SPAR Natur*pur Imperial Roast with the addition of a real imperial experience
Over two days, Austrian chefs treated visitors to traditional imperial roasts made from selected organic ingredients from the SPAR Natur*pur line. An attractive stand in the shape of a giant frying pan transported visitors straight to Alpine ski huts, while intoxicating sweet aromas filled the air.
Online influencers and the imperial challenge
A special touch to the event was also given by prize game, in which the main prize was a VIP experience at the Alpine Skiing World Championships. Two lucky winners will enjoy watching the first race, on February 4th in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, with an overnight stay at the prestigious Residenz Hochalm.
The tour has also come to life on social media, where well-known online influencers such as Alen Podlesnik and Lara Jerina, accepted the culinary challenge "Who can make the best imperial roast using SPAR Natur*pur ingredients?". In addition to tasting freshly prepared Tsarski rozenac, visitors could participate in a series of fun activities that brought additional excitement. A wheel of fortune, a memory game and other interactive games ensured that no one left empty-handed. The lucky ones secured products from the popular SPAR Natur*pur line, which is synonymous with quality and organic production.
Tour Finale – Saalbach, where tradition and sport come together
The "SPAR Natur*pur Imperial Roast" tour will reach its climax on February 4, 2025, when it will conclude with a ceremony at the start of the FIS World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. There, the Imperial Roast will symbolically connect the passion for skiing, the rich Austrian culinary tradition and the love of quality food.
