Spring fatigue is the number one spring conundrum. Although the days are longer, brighter and warmer with spring, this does not necessarily have a good effect on our well-being. Why this is so and how we can overcome spring fatigue, below.
Spring fatigue gets to even the best. If in the spring you are listless, tired, sleepy and exhausted despite the longer days and higher temperatures, you are probably suffering from spring fatigue.
What is spring fatigue?
Spring fatigue is not a disease, but a condition of the organism that occurs during spring. Although spring brings warm weather, longer days and more light, despite enough sleep, we can experience an unknown fatigue, exhaustion, lethargy, sleepiness and, as a result, a drop in work efficiency, a decrease in physical capacity and a decrease in the body's immune resistance.
How does spring fatigue occur?
With stronger sun rays, temperature fluctuations occur in the spring, and higher temperatures consequently affect the functioning of our organism, which begins to cool down faster due to the rise in temperature. Dilated veins, increased blood flow to the organs and faster metabolism affect our well-being, as the body suddenly uses more energy after a comfortable and slow winter and therefore falls into a state of fatigue.

How to overcome spring fatigue?
- We reach for food for energy - raw fruits and vegetables, vitamin C, zinc, iron, coenzyme Q10, magnesium, royal jelly and honey - which helps to restore the reserves of vitamins and minerals that we used up during the winter due to a monotonous diet. Our menu should become more colorful, diverse and rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber and healthy fats.
- Let's drink enough water. Drink at least 2 liters of liquid a day, as water helps the body detoxify.
- Let's take advantage of the warm spring sun, because sunlight has a beneficial effect on well-being and inhibits the production of melatonin, which also makes us sleepy in spring.
- Prevention for spring fatigue is physical activity even in winter. This should continue in the spring, because people who regularly exercise rarely suffer from spring fatigue.
- Let's relax with the help of a soothing bath, a good book, a sauna or a massage.
