Stone Rug is a futuristic carpet made of flexible stone veneer. Designer and architect Dominik Raskin drew inspiration for the unusual carpet from polyart, a popular digital technique. Raskin has long been involved in 3D printing and modeling, and with the Stone Rug, digital forms have crossed over into the real world.
Futuristic carpet Stone Rug is the work of a Belgian designer, architect and lecturer living in Mumbai, Dominic Raskin. In the past, he devoted a large part of his creation to 3D modeling and printing, but now he creates objects in a technique that otherwise has its home and roots in the digital world (Polyart), transferred into reality.

The Stone Rug is manufactured made of flexible stone veneer, a light material made of multi-layered stone (slate) and polyester resin and glass fibers, which connect the layers of stones. The carpet allows a lot of freedom, as we can make things out of it interesting formations. Thus, it is not only practical, but also an artistic piece of furniture.
