The massive 3D sketches of the Belgian artist Ben Heine have become a real hit.
Belgian artist Ben Heine became world famous three years ago when he started his fascinating project Pencil to Camera, in which he compared the sketch with the real background. These days, however, Heine impresses with 3D sketches that jump out of the canvas. His technique is known as anamorphosis, an optical illusion that requires a very special aspect of observation. The specialty that separates him from other artists is the size of his canvases, which are huge. Even so large that the artist himself can pose with them and thus become part of the overall composition. He needs at least a week for each sketch.
