Summer night 2019 it will not be just one of the gatherings with a Slovenian singer around a bonfire, but it will be unique tribute to the singer Marjana Deržaj, the creator who personified the Slovenian singer.
What made her different, what separated her from other legends? At a time when hearing, voice and performance on stage were not discussed at all, she was adorned with an unusual modesty. Popularity, accessibility. Her life, not always easy, and especially without star glamour, made her vulnerable on stage and on the street. The audience recognized this and took it as their own. For all eternity.
Marjana Deržaj's music will return to where she feels best. Into the safe environment of a large revue orchestra, again this year under the leadership conductor Patrik Grebl. They will perform Darja Švajger, Nuša Derenda, Helena Blagne, Nina Strnad, Eva Hren, Katrinas, Jadranka Juras, Ana Bezjak, Monika Avsenik, Anja Strajnar, Braco Koren and Youth Choir of RTV Slovenia. It will be a night in which the creators will not only recreate Marjana's music; Ljubljana and, in the broadcast, all of Slovenia will pay tribute to her just one more time this night.
