During the festive season, when the warmth of home and small expectations become even more important, Supernova took a step that made December brighter for many children. With the Godfathership program, which operates under the auspices of the Anita Ogulin Association, they donated 10,000 euros to Supernova gift cards gifted 200 children from socially disadvantaged families across Slovenia.

Supernova gift cards allowed families to purchase basic necessities and small joys in all 22 Supernova shopping centers in Slovenia. Children could choose clothes, shoes, toys, technology, books or other products that would at least temporarily restore their sense of security, warmth and holiday joy.

The Anita Ogulin Association encounters difficult children's stories every day, so they understand well whose day such help changes the most. Their role in distributing gift cards was therefore based on many years of experience and the trust they have built through their work.

Godfathership is one of the most recognizable programs to help children and adolescents in financial hardship. It provides them with access to basic goods and encourages them to create a better future. Anyone can contribute with a one-time or regular donation, as well as with a simple gesture, such as allocation of 1 percent of income tax.

Supernova believes that small actions can create big effects. With the donation, they wanted to give children a moment of safety and festive joy, and families the feeling that they are not alone. Their desire is that at least one wish that transcends everyday life would shine under every Christmas tree.
